Middle School Faith Formation
Religious Education
Religious Education for the Middle School students (Grades 6, 7, & 8) take place on Wednesday evenings.
6th Grade: Studies the Encounter program - about the Bible Time Line
Meets every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 pm
7th Grade: Studies the Ydisciple program from Formed.org & Connected by Ascension Press
8th Grade: Studies the Middle School Theology of the Body from Ascension Press
6:30 - 8:00 pm (7th & 8th grades alternate Wednesdays)

EXALT 6th through 8th graders and families are encouraged to attend EXALT monthly on Wednesday evenings. We begin supper at 5:45 pm, followed with an opportunity to spend time with Jesus in adoration and reconciliation. Small group discussions close the evening at 8:00pm. All are welcome!

Safe Environment
Safe Environment training program for our children and youth will be the program Circle of Grace. The goal of this program is to educate and empower children and young people to actively participate in a safe environment for themselves and others. Circle of Grace aims to equip children and young people by arming them with essential knowledge and skills grounded in the richness of our faith. This program helps them to understand their own (and other’s) dignity in mind, body, and spirit.
Grade 6: Review Circle of Grace, Pieces of the Puzzle, Safe Relationships, Boundaries, Safety PLAAN
Grade 7: Review Circle of Grace, Saying “No” to Disrespect: Honoring Everyone’s Circle of Grace, Honoring Relationships
Grade 8: Review Circle of Grace, How to be Morally Responsible in Today’s Culture, Coping with Stress and Pressure

Grades 6 & 7 will receive their Safe Environment training during their class times in October/November. Grade 8 will receive training on registration night. You will be emailed the presentation if your child is absent. Please go over it with them and then contact Margaret Rasmussen when it is completed. If you have any questions on the Safe Environment or if you choose for your child to "opt out" from the training, please request and complete an "opt out" form.
