Youth Ministries Mission Statement:
*To reach out to all the youth of the parish with the love of Christ and bring them together in this love.
*To provide opportunities for youth to actively participate in the prayer life of the parish community, so as to
deepen their understanding of Church as “community”.
*To provide opportunities for spiritual growth so as to deepen their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who
alone has the words of eternal life.
*To provide opportunities for social activities so as to strengthen their interpersonal communication skills and
social behaviors in order to enhance their understanding of what is means to be a member of Catholic community.

Diocese of Crookston Youth Conference (DCYC)

The Diocese of Crookston Youth Conference (DCYC) is replacing the traditional Middle School/High School youth rallies with one large youth conference open to all 6th-12th grades and parents. This event is designed to bring all youth from across the diocese together for a day of worship to kick-off the 2023-2024 faith formation year.

It will be a fun night out with friends, food and fellowship! This progressive hayride begins at 5:00 Mass at St. Bernard's, stops at one location for a potluck supper and then another location for bonfire and s'mores. Dress warm and bring a blanket - it may be chilly! Feel free to bring a friend. Please RSVP and sign the permission slip found on the link below to attend no later than Friday, Sept. 15th so I can plan accordingly. Can't wait to see you there!

Saint John Paul II Camp is for youth entering grades 7 & 8 who have a desire to deepen their faith, live in that faith and share their faith with others. Throughout the camp, youth will be encouraged and mentored as they engage in prayer, worship, leadership development, spiritual reflection, play and service. The five-day experience is designed to encourage and equip youth for discipleship.

There is a singular reason for hope in this world, and that is Jesus Christ. He is not simply “a way, a truth and a (source of) life”, but rather, Jesus is “THE way, THE truth and THE life (John 14:6). He truly is THE reason for hope!

It is our hope that these retreats will provide you with opportunities for encounter with Jesus Christ, increase opportunities for discipleship, and strengthen the Catholic Identity and community among the youth in the Diocese of Crookston.

The Saint Teresa of Calcutta Camp is for youth entering grades 9 and 10 who have a desire to deepen their faith and are open to exploring the ordinary ways to share the Catholic faith as missionary disciples and servant leaders. Inspired by the life of St. Teresa of Calcutta, and anchored in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, campers will enter a five-day experience where they will gain a deeper understanding of their faith and will be presented with ways to witness that faith in their home, school, church, community, and world. A special emphasis will be placed on:

The 2024 Saint Teresa of Calcutta Camp will capitalize on a once-in-a-generation opportunity this summer. Youth, currently in grades 9 – 12 are invited to take part in a unique experience, beginning at the Pastoral Center in Crookston, and traveling to Indianapolis, Indiana for the National Eucharistic Congress.
