St. Bernard's Catholic Community > St. Bernard's Parish > Religious Formation > Youth Ministries
Youth Coordinator: Jayne Miller (Youth Minister) - ext. 212
Three interdependent and equally important goals guide the Church's ministry with adolescents. These goals state what it means for the Catholic community to respond to the needs of young people and to involve young people in sharing their unique gifts with the larger community. They express the Church's focus for ministry with adolescents, while encouraging local creativity in developing the programs, activities, and strategies to reach these goals.
Youth Ministries Mission Statement:
To reach out to all the youth of the parish with the love of Christ and bring them together in this love.
To provide opportunities for youth to actively participate in the prayer life of the parish community, so as to deepen their understanding of Church as “community”.
To provide opportunities for spiritual growth so as to deepen their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who alone has the words of eternal life.
To provide opportunities for social activities so as to strengthen their interpersonal communication skills and social behaviors in order to enhance their understanding of what is means to be a member of Catholic community.
